Visa Refund You will receive a full refund if you cancel your order before we upload your data to the immigration system. However, once your application has been uploaded to immigration, a refund is no longer possible. Immigration does not refund visa fees once an application has been processed or issued, and therefore, we are unable to refund in this case. Extension If you already purchased extensions and they remain unused (because you leave Indonesia earlier), we can refund the extension fee as long as you notify us early enough (before the extension process has started). If we already started the extension process, no refund is possible anymore.
Yes. Almost all Indonesian banks apply daily transaction limits for ATM withdrawals, bank transfers, online banking, and QRIS payments. The exact limits depend on the bank, your card type, and your account tier. For example, basic accounts may have lower limits, while premium accounts allow higher daily transactions. If you need higher limits, most banks allow you to request an increase by visiting a branch or updating your account type.
Yes. Once you have an Indonesian bank account, you can pay everywhere using QRIS — Indonesia’s universal QR payment system. QRIS is accepted at supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, taxis, markets, and even small street vendors. Payments are instant, convenient, and usually come with no additional fees.
Having an Indonesian bank account offers major advantages compared to relying on a foreign account: - Lower fees: You avoid high foreign transaction and ATM withdrawal fees. - Better exchange rates: Local banks typically offer much better conversion rates than foreign cards. - QRIS payments everywhere: Indonesia runs almost entirely on QRIS — many shops, cafés, and services accept only local QR payments. - Easier local payments: Many online services, subscriptions, deliveries, and utilities do not accept foreign cards. - Receiving money locally: Getting transfers from Indonesian clients, employers, or agencies is faster and cheaper. - Higher acceptance overall: Some ATMs and terminals simply reject foreign cards. A local account is the most convenient and cost-effective way to handle everyday life in Indonesia.
The processing time to open a bank account in Indonesia is typically 1–5 business days, depending on the bank and how quickly your documents are verified. For CIMB Niaga specifically: - Account opening: ~3 working days - Online banking access & soft token activation: ~7 working days Some banks may process faster or require additional checks, so timelines can vary.
If you prefer to open an account with a different Indonesian bank — such as BCA, Mandiri, Danamon, BNI, BRI, or any other bank — please contact us. We will check whether an account opening is possible and advise you on the requirements and next steps.
Yes, you can start the process online, but a fully online account opening is not possible in Indonesia. You must meet a bank employee in person — either at the branch or by signing the documents in their presence. Only after this in-person verification can the bank activate your account.
There are monthly administrative fees of about IDR 5,000 ‑ 20,000, plus possible fees for small balances under certain thresholds. We are able to give you more details about this in the further process.
