When entering Indonesia, travellers are allowed to bring certain goods duty-free, up to the limits set by Indonesian Customs. 1. Personal goods You may bring personal items with a total value of up to USD 500 per person without paying import duties. Families travelling together can combine their allowance (e.g., USD 500 × number of family members). 2. Tobacco products You may bring one of the following duty-free: - 200 cigarettes, or - 25 cigars, or - 100 grams of sliced tobacco These limits cannot be combined (e.g., cigarettes + cigars). 3. Alcohol Each traveller may bring up to 1 liter of alcoholic beverages duty-free. 4. Important notes - If you exceed the duty-free allowances, you must declare the items and may have to pay import duties/taxes. - Customs rules may occasionally change — if your quantities are close to the limit, it’s safer to double-check the latest regulations.
Visa Refund You will receive a full refund if you cancel your order before we upload your data to the immigration system. However, once your application has been uploaded to immigration, a refund is no longer possible. Immigration does not refund visa fees once an application has been processed or issued, and therefore, we are unable to refund in this case. Extension If you already purchased extensions and they remain unused (because you leave Indonesia earlier), we can refund the extension fee as long as you notify us early enough (before the extension process has started). If we already started the extension process, no refund is possible anymore.
Payment is required before we can give you access to the application form and before we can submit your visa application to Immigration. This is because the visa fee must be paid at the moment of submission. Payment options You can pay directly at checkout using: - Debit card - Credit card - Apple Pay / Google Pay - Crypto payments - Bank transfer Bank transfers Bank transfers may take a few days to appear in our account. To speed up the process, you can send us a payment receipt or screenshot, and we will begin processing your application immediately.
Yes. Family/Spouse KITAS holders are allowed to leave and re-enter Indonesia, but only if they have a valid MERP (Multiple Exit and Re-entry Permit). Important: - Without a MERP, your KITAS becomes invalid the moment you leave Indonesia. - MERP is often issued together with the KITAS, but you should always double-check its validity dates. - You must re-enter Indonesia before your KITAS (and MERP) expires. If your MERP has expired or was never issued, you must obtain a new MERP before traveling, otherwise your KITAS cannot be used for re-entry.
Generally, no — a Family/Spouse KITAS or KITAP does not allow you to work in Indonesia. However, in certain cases, a spouse KITAS/KITAP holder may become eligible to work, but only if: 1. An Indonesian employer sponsors a Working KITAS, and 2. A valid IMTA (work permit) is obtained from the Ministry of Manpower. Without these additional permits, any kind of paid or operational work is not allowed. The Family/Spouse KITAS itself only provides the right to stay, not the right to work.
Yes. Dependent children of a foreign national who holds a KITAS are generally eligible to receive their own residence permit, commonly referred to as a Dependent KITAS or KITAS Anak. A Dependent KITAS for children: - allows legal residence in Indonesia, - is typically valid for the same duration as the parent’s KITAS, and - does not permit any work or employment. The application requires birth certificates, parental documents, and proof of legal guardianship. Contact us if you need help preparing these documents.
What happens after a divorce depends on the length of your marriage: Marriage of more than 10 years If your marriage lasted over 10 years, you will already have, or be eligible for, a Spouse KITAP (permanent residency). In this case, a divorce does not affect your residency status, and your KITAP remains valid. Marriage of less than 10 years If your marriage lasted less than 10 years, the Spouse KITAS becomes invalid after the divorce. You must: - provide a new sponsor (e.g., employer, new spouse, or your own PMA), and - report the change to Immigration within 60 days Failing to provide a new sponsor in time may result in losing your residency status and being required to leave Indonesia. If you need assistance finding the best visa option after divorce, feel free to contact us.
Yes, in some cases it is possible — but it depends on the visa type and immigration approval. Changing your immigration status while in Indonesia requires following specific procedures, and not all visas can be converted internally. Because immigration rules can change and approval is case-by-case, each status change must be assessed individually. We recommend contacting us before making any changes to ensure compliance and avoid unnecessary exit requirements.
Normally, you do not need to leave your passport at the Immigration Office. You bring it to your appointment and take it back immediately. But if your passport is temporarily at Immigration for any reason, you can still move freely within Bali without any issues. For safety, we recommend carrying: - a printed copy of your passport, or - a digital scan/photo of your passport on your smartphone This is usually sufficient for identification if needed.
