Generally, no — a Family/Spouse KITAS or KITAP does not allow you to work in Indonesia. However, in certain cases, a spouse KITAS/KITAP holder may become eligible to work, but only if:
- An Indonesian employer sponsors a Working KITAS, and
- A valid IMTA (work permit) is obtained from the Ministry of Manpower.
Without these additional permits, any kind of paid or operational work is not allowed.
The Family/Spouse KITAS itself only provides the right to stay, not the right to work.
