Yes. Holders of the C7A Music Performer Visa (and C7B for supporting crew) are allowed to receive payment or benefits for their performances.
However, there are important restrictions:
- You cannot sign or engage in any formal employment contract with an Indonesian individual or company.
- You cannot be hired as an employee or perform long-term work in Indonesia.
- This visa only allows short-term performance activities, such as gigs, festivals, club shows, or concerts.
- For any formal employment relationship, you would need a Work Permit (RPTKA + IMTA) and a Work KITAS.
Performing under the wrong visa can lead to penalties, fines, deportation, or entry bans.
