You will receive your visa as a PDF file with a QR code, sent to your email. If preferred, we can also send it to you via WhatsApp. Your visa is electronically linked to your passport, and it will be automatically recognized when your passport is scanned at Immigration. A printed copy is usually not required, but we recommend keeping one as a backup.
There are no pick-up or delivery costs, because passport collection is no longer required for visa extensions in Indonesia. We only need scans/photos of your documents. The only time you need your physical passport is during your personal visit to the Immigration office. After the appointment, you take your passport back with you immediately. Your passport does not stay at Immigration.
In most cases, the appointment can be completed in around 30 minutes, including biometrics (photo, fingerprints) and data verification. We always try to schedule your visit at a time with minimal waiting time. However, waiting times at Immigration depend on the daily workload, national holidays, system delays, or internal queues. In some cases, the visit can take longer than expected, so we recommend planning extra buffer time.
The e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA) is valid for 30 days starting from the day you enter Indonesia. It can be extended once for an additional 30 days, allowing a maximum stay of 60 days total. The validity rules are the same as the Visa on Arrival purchased at the airport.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of the extension. If your passport has less than 6 months remaining, Immigration will not process your extension. For some visa types (especially longer-term visas), a longer validity period may be required. Please check the “Requirements” section of the specific visa you are applying for. Tip: If your passport is close to expiring, renew it before starting your trip to avoid delays or rejection.
Rejections are very rare. In our experience, we have not had a single case where a visa application was rejected, as long as all requirements were met and the applicant provided accurate information. When can a visa be rejected? A rejection usually only occurs in exceptional cases, such as: - The applicant is listed on the Indonesian immigration blacklist - Previous violations of Indonesian immigration or criminal law - An outstanding international arrest warrant - Providing false information or forged documents For standard applicants who meet the official visa requirements, the visa is normally approved without issues.
Yes. For the visa extension, your passport does not stay at Immigration. The extension is processed online, and you only need to bring your passport to the appointment for photo and fingerprints. Once the appointment is finished, you take your passport back with you immediately. You will not be asked to leave your passport at Immigration.
No, pick-up is not included. You need to organize your own transport (scooter, car, taxi, ride-hailing service) to the immigration office for your photo and fingerprints appointment. We will inform you about the exact date and time of your appointment as soon as it is scheduled by immigration. Please make sure you can be available on that day and plan enough time for the visit.
That's not a problem for your visa itself — your visa remains valid based on its own 90-day entry window, as long as you still enter within that window.
The e-VOA is only available to eligible nationalities, grants 30 days on entry (extendable once by 30 days, 60 days maximum) and needs no sponsor letter. The C1 is available to almost all nationalities regardless of e-VOA eligibility, grants 60 days on entry, and can be extended twice for up to 180 days total — but it requires slightly more documentation. We would recommend a C1 visa if your stay exceeds 30 days, as this will save you time, as you do not have to handle an extension within the first 60 days.
